Empathy Guesthouse an affordable property located just a 4-minute walk from Jungangro Station. Featuring clean and comfortable guestrooms, the guesthouse also offers free Wi-Fi access at all areas.

This centrally located property is placed a 20-minute walk from the popular Lotte Department Store and an 8-minute walk from Hyundai Department Store. Dong Daegu Station is 5 km away while Daegu International Airport is just 8 km away.

Air-conditioned rooms at Empathy Guesthouse include dormitory-style beds. They come with heating facilities and en suite bathrooms with hot-water showers and free toiletries.

Very Good

The location is very close to downtown Daegu, which is very convenient. The staff is extremely friendly and has good English proficiency.

However, there is no elevator, and the bathroom is a bit old. Additionally, the front desk is only staffed from 9:00 to 18:00, so luggage storage is only available during this time, which can be inconvenient.

convenient check in process, also late self check in is possible (just make sure to inform them and they send the instructions) central location with endless eating, drinking and shopping possibilities

the room had some mosquitoes, unfortunately the repellent didn’t work… feels a little crammed but for the price you can’t complain

Wonderful

The location was great, heaps of places to eat food nearby (they also have a list of places nearby you can eat if travelling alone since it can be hard to get a table for one!). The rooms were very spacious. Although there is no kitchen there is a fridge and microwave for food.

A privacy curtain for the dorm beds would have been nice to filter a little bit of light from when other door mates come home late/leave early

Decent location, not too far from main attractions. WiFi was stable and of good speed.

The bathroom had no proper shower, just a flimsy shower head attached to the sink, never seen anything like it before, it was very inconvenient to use. There was no breakfast option, the toilets were not clean at all.

Wonderful

The location is perfect, close to many restaurants and bars but not noisy at all. The staff is lovely and will help you with any question.

The only issue was that our sink got clogged sometimes but the staff always fixed it.

Superb

Very nice stay, clean and friendly staff. On arrival, I also received a coupon for a free beer, which I really needed after the long journey. The room was big enough with en suite bathroom. The room also has a locker for each key holder where you can store your belongings. Beds are alright.

The bathroom doesn't have plugs or a mirror. I needed to go to the lobbi's restroom to plug in my hair straightener and do my makeup. I couldn't do it in the room because other people had their stuff all over the place and were always sleeping. Moreover, the bathroom door doesn't lock either. It can be uncomfortable when you share the room with other 5 people.

Bed was comfortable. Great location, very central. Staff is very nice and kind. Good temperature in the room, warm enough.

On my reservation made on Booking, i booked a 6 bed dorm but I got a 8 bed dorm. In my room with 8 beds there was a group of 7 people who were living there so it felt like staying someone else's home, but this is not the hostel's fault.

Great guesthouse with all the things you need.

Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Nice community room and rooftop to hangout. Free laundry, fridges and microwaves etc. The location is perfect, many bars and restaurants around. I had a good time staying there.

WiFi could be a bit better. But no big problem

Amazing Place to Stay

Loved how big the room and bathroom were. The night views is also amazing. They were so helpful and told us about a free tour that we got to participate in which included a free dinner! Check-in and check-out went smoothly and we were very happy about our stay here.

29 nights and days full of warmth and Covid-free Empathy at a most reasonable rate.

Each room has its own bathroom, as well as windows that open. There is a community room with a refrigerator, microwave, and water machine. For those traveling to Daegu Airport or Daegu Station, it is an ideal location. It is a very short walk to the nearest subway exit/entrance Jungangno Station exit 1. Across the road is the downtown, with a flourishing nightlife, numerous retaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. Next to Empathy Guest House is a cafe called "Mansion 5", which has one of the best western style brunches and all of the baked goods are freshly made on-site. The staff is very warm, friendly, and helpful. I stayed there 29 nights (newly retired from teaching and going home) and I didn't get Covid!!
